The Prix de la ville de Ramatuelle, dedicated to riders competing in the CSI1*, officially opened the 4th edition of the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show this morning at 8 AM.
33 participating pairs were delighted to ride the exceptional course at Pampelonne Beach, for the 1.15m event in two phases.
Gustavo MIRABAL set the pace with his first horse (G&C Luca Brasi) without errors in 35.10 sec. He lowered his time with his second horse (G & C Lucy) taking first place and winning the first victory for Venezuela. Sheikh Samir MIRDAD, rider from Kazakhstan, number 31 attempted the impossible and took second place. Lauren Van Berkel (NL) Prele du Chanois took third on the day's first podium.
Sabine Maitrot Charmasson, the best French woman rider in the competition, just missed the podium.
